DeYoung's
Pines has been growing and selling evergreens for 20 plus years.
 We started out
producing small trees that could be hand dug which included trees
up to 4 feet tall.
We are now capable of digging evergreens that are up to 10 feet
tall. All of
our nursery stock is grown from seedlings that are obtained from
various sources in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Oregon. We
apply the right blend of fertilizers, irrigation, and pruning
resulting in high quality trees.

Our
soil type varies from black dirt to clay depending on the
farm location. A
large portion of our nursery stock is transplanted at the
3 foot tall range. This
serves two purposes: it
allows us to plant our seedlings closer together and conserve
space; when the trees are transplanted it serves as root growth
control (root pruning).
Our spring digging season typically runs from March 15th through
May 1st. Our
fall season starts September 15th and runs through Thanksgiving
or later depending on the weather.
